IRKUTSK, December 12 (RIA Novosti, Alexander Batalin) - A European development bank will grant a loan worth 30 million euros to the East Siberian region of Irkutsk, the regional administration said Monday.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is offering a 12-year loan with an interest rate of 8%-9% to fund regional housing and community projects, including the modernization of heating systems.
Governor of the Irkutsk Region Alexander Tishanin said the money would also be allocated to the Ust-Ordynsk Buryat Autonomous District prior to the merger of the two federation members.
