ROSTOV-ON-DON, December 12 (RIA Novosti) - Two Mi-35 helicopters will be sent from the southern Russian city of Rostov to the West African country of Burkina Faso, the local helicopter plant said Monday.
The transport-combat helicopters produced at the Rosvertol plant were delivered to the African country's capital of Ouagadougou by an An-22 aircraft for a parade.
"These helicopters are designed to eliminate armored vehicles...[carry out] landing operations, the evacuation of the wounded and cargo transportation," the plant's press service said.
Mi-35 helicopters are widely used in the Commonwealth of Independent States, Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
