MOSCOW, December 12 (RIA Novosti) - A driver was injured in an explosion in the center of Russia's capital of Moscow, a police official said Monday.
"Around 19:30 Moscow time [4:30 GMT] on Monday, a car exploded on 1st Basmanny Pereulok," the official said.
"According to the preliminary investigation, the blast was caused by an explosive device installed under the car," he said. "The car's driver was injured in the blast."
A group of investigators is currently working at the site of the accident.
