MAKHACHKALA, December 12 (RIA Novosti) - An assassination attempt was made Monday on a parliament member of the North Caucasus republic of Daghestan, a local police official said Monday.
Deputy Magomed Magomedov's came under fire in the outskirts of Kyzyl-Yurt in central Dagestan at about 6:00p.m. Moscow time [3:00p.m. GMT] Monday. The driver was killed, but the deputy was not injured.
A team of investigators is working at the site of the assassination attempt and the police are searching for the perpetrators.
