NOVOSIBIRSK, December (RIA Novosti) - The simplified "single-window" approach used in registering new businesses in Russia should now be extended to apply to construction licensing, President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday.
This approach minimizes applicants' contact points with authorities, streamlining registration and licensing procedures.
According to Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister Andrei Sharonov, most construction licenses in Russia are now issued by local authorities, whereas licenses relating to environmental and epidemiological control are provided by federal agencies.
