XIANGANG (Hong Kong), December 16 (RIA Novosti) - Russia and the Philippines signed a bilateral protocol Friday on the former's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
The protocol was signed by Russian Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref and Philippine Secretary of Trade and Industry Peter Favila.
Russia already completed talks but has yet to sign agreements with eight countries: Brazil, Argentina, Nicaragua, Paraguay, the Dominican Republic, Moldova, Honduras and Panama.
Talks on Russia's accession to the WTO are ongoing with the United States, Canada, Australia, Switzerland, Uruguay, Costa-Rica and Colombia.
Russian delegates are attending the sixth WTO Ministerial Conference in Hong Kong to meet with representatives of more than 20 member-countries in a bid to coordinate the terms of Russia's accession to the body.
