MOSCOW, December 16 (RIA Novosti) - No investigation has been launched in relation to the activities of Vizavi Bank, the Russian Interior Ministry said Friday.
"No criminal case has been filed against Vizavi commercial bank with the department of economic organized crime in the ministry's investigation committee," the ministry said in a statement.
Russian business daily Vedomosti earlier reported that the recent police raids at MDM Bank were related to Vizavi Bank's activities.
Police searched and seized documents at an office of Moscow-based MDM December 7.
At the time, MDM Senior Vice President Ilya Razbash said the investigation was related to a former correspondent bank, not MDM.
