TBILISI, December 16 (RIA Novosti, Marina Kvartskhelia) - Georgian Defense Minister Irakly Okruashvili said Friday that South Ossetia, a breakaway region on Georgian territory, would be made part of the country again by 2007 and hoped the United States would help bring this about.
Okruashvili said the region would be regained by peaceful means, since it was a "political, rather than a military problem," although Georgia has been building up its military strength in recent years.
