MOSCOW, December 19 (RIA Novosti) - Two unidentified assailants in police uniforms have robbed and assaulted a U.S. citizen in the northeast of Moscow, local prosecutors said Monday.
"Two unidentified men dressed as policemen stopped the victim and suddenly hit him over the head before taking his documents, money and watch," a spokesman for the prosecutor's office said.
The attack on the American, who also holds Ukrainian citizenship, occurred in the Izmailovo district of the capital, which is home to one of the biggest hotels in the city, but is not considered by foreigners to be one of the safest areas of the city after nightfall.
