MOSCOW, December 19 (RIA Novosti) - GDP growth in Russia will be 6.4% in 2005, Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref said Monday. "In January-November, GDP growth was 6.3% and it will be 6.4% by the end of the year," Gref said, adding that it was slightly higher than forecasted.
According to the minister, GDP growth in November 2005 was up 7.5% year-on-year and 0.4% month-on-month.
He also said Russia's industrial output was up 5.5% year-on-year in November 2005, and 4% in the first 11 months.
"We expect it [industrial output growth] to reach to 4.1% by the end of the year."
The minister said inflation in Russia stood at 0.3% in the first twelve days of December, adding that so far the rate of inflation for December was almost half last year's level.
