VILNIUS, December 21 (RIA Novosti, Vladimir Vodo) - A large batch of U.S. poultry meat on its way from the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad to mainland Russia and Kazakhstan via Lithuania was barred by Lithuanian veterinary authorities Wednesday.
A local radio station quoted Lithuania's State Veterinary Service as saying the 200-ton batch had been stopped at the Kybartai border checkpoint as it did not have the veterinary certificate required for transit through the country.
