BISHKEK, December 27 (RIA Novosti) - The Prosecutor General's Office of the Central Asian republic of Kyrgyzstan has asked Russia for help in detaining ex-President Askar Akayev's eldest son, the prosecutor general told reporters Tuesday.
Kambaraly Kongantiyev said Aidar Akayev was accused of a series of economic crimes.
Adil Toigonbayev, the ex-president's son-in-law and Kazakh citizen, has also been put on the wanted list. Prosecutors do not expect him to be extradited, Kongantiyev said.
