MOSCOW, December 27 (RIA Novosti) - The concentrations of nitrobenzene in the Amur River near Khabarovsk in Russia's Far East are within the limit, the Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring said Tuesday.

The front part of the toxic slick was last monitored at 140-150 km downstream from Khabarovsk, home to 600,000 residents, the service said.

The toxic spill was caused by an explosion at a petrochemical plant near the city of Harbin November 13.
