KIEV, December 27 (RIA Novosti) - Ukraine completed the withdrawal of its peacekeeping contingent from Iraq Tuesday, the country's defense ministry said.
The ministry said that on Tuesday afternoon, the last convoy of eight armored vehicles and 44 servicemen arrived at a port in Kuwait, covering a distance of 600km.
"There are no more Ukrainian peacekeepers on the territory of Iraq as of December 27," a ministry statement said.
