* Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov said Russia owed Ukraine 1.5 billion cu m of natural gas under settlements with Ukraine's national natural gas company Naftogaz, which Russia's energy giant Gazprom denied
* Yuriy Yekhanurov called Gazprom's price of $230 per 1,000 cu m of gas unacceptable
* Russian oil major LUKoil said it had signed an agreement through its 100%-owned subsidiary LUKoil Finance Limited (Gibraltar) to take out a $1.93 billion syndicated loan to refinance its interim loan for the purchase of Canada's Nelson Resources Limited
* The federal hydro-generating company HydroOGK, a subsidiary of Russian electricity monopoly Unified Energy System, said it expected its 2005 net profit to be 2.2 billion rubles (about $76.6 million)
* Gazexport, Gazprom's export arm, said Russia could participate in the privatization of Georgia's gas trunk pipeline
