MOSCOW, January 1 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law Sunday to allow political parties with a majority of seats in regional legislatures to nominate candidates for the regional governor.
The law amends a previous law on political parties approved by the upper house of parliament December 27.
