MOSCOW, January 1 (RIA Novosti) - If Ukraine taps Russian natural gas bound for European consumers, it will be clear at the Velke Kapusany gas-distributing station in Slovakia, which is the first station outside Ukraine, a Russian expert said Sunday.
Natural gas flows at a speed of about 30-40 kmph.
Russian energy giant Gazprom spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov said earlier in the day that whether Ukraine tapped gas would be clear in the second half of the day from gas pressure indicators at gas-measuring plants on Ukraine's border with European countries.
