PARIS, January 2 (RIA Novosti, Andrei Nizamutdinov) - The French industry minister said Monday that possible reduction of deliveries of Russian natural gas to Europe via Ukraine due to a pricing dispute between Russia and Ukraine would not be critical for the French economy.
Francois Loos said the reduction would not exceed four percent of a total amount of gas supplies to France, since country's state-run company Gaz de France - one of the leading European gas groups - could clinch contracts with gas suppliers from Norway and Algiers. Besides, France has its own natural gas reserves, he added.
