MOSCOW, January 3 (RIA Novosti) - Russian natural gas giant Gazprom has completed work to supply required gas volumes to European consumers, Gazprom official spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov said Tuesday.
"The work to restore gas supplies to Europe has been actually completed and Gazprom is fulfilling all its obligations to European consumers with respect for gas," Kupriyanov said.
He added that Gazprom was compensating European consumers for gas volumes, which Ukraine was siphoning off.
However, he added that this practice could not go on indefinitely and that Ukraine would have to pay for that all the same.
