MOSCOW, January 4 (RIA Novosti) - The contract that Russia and Ukraine signed in the natural gas sector is effective from January 1 with no transitional period, a spokesman for Russian energy giant Gazprom said Wednesday.
According to Sergei Kupriyanov, relations between Gazprom and Ukraine's state oil and natural gas company Naftogaz will develop on the basis of a European pricing formula.
