MOSCOW, January 5 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with President of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov, the Russian president's press service said Thursday.
The presidents discussed key issues of bilateral cooperation and a schedule for future summits, the press service said in a statement.
"The presidents also exchanged New Year's greetings," the statement said.
