KRASNOYARSK, January 8 (RIA Novosti, Boris Ivanov) - Several thousand people in nearly 100 apartment blocks and a few kindergartens in a Siberian city were left without heating and hot water all day Sunday.
According to the authorities of Krasnoyarsk, the heating was disrupted after a pipe that had remained underground without repairs for 30 years burst causing a 30-meter high fountain of hot water.
The cause of the accident has been eliminated, and people are being provided with emergency heating. Repairs will be resumed Monday.
