MOSCOW, January 14 (RIA Novosti) - A delegation of the Russian parliament's upper chamber will leave for Indonesia and Singapore on official visits Saturday, Federation Council Speaker Sergei Mironov said.
According to him, the delegation will attend the 14th session of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF) in Indonesia.
Mironov said the forum would focus on economic, political, security and counter-terrorism issues and bird flu.
"We will discuss this pressing issue during the forum given the seasonal bird migration," Mironov said.
He also said the delegation would propose holding the next forum in Russia in 2007.
Mironov added he would hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of Indonesia and Singapore.
