MOSCOW, January 18 (RIA Novosti) - International ratings agency Standard & Poor's said Wednesday that it had raised its long-term counterparty credit and certificate of
deposit ratings on Russia-based Gazprombank to BB from BB- with a positive outlook.
S&P affirmed its B short-term counterparty credit rating for the bank and raised the Russia national scale rating to ruAA from ruAA-.
"The rating action reflects the one-notch upgrade of Gazprombank's parent, Gazprom, the world's largest gas producer, on increased government support," Standard & Poor's credit analyst Yekaterina Trofimova said.
The rating action on Gazprom (BB+/Positive/--) took place Monday.
