MOSCOW, January 20 (RIA Novosti) - The foreign ministers of Russia and the UK discussed Iran's nuclear program in a telephone conversation Friday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
According to the ministry, Sergei Lavrov and Jack Straw shared their views on the continuing standoff over Iran's nuclear ambitions, as well as touching on relations between their two countries.
Russia said earlier Friday that it would hold "detailed" talks with Iran over its proposal to supply the country with enriched uranium for use in its planned nuclear power plants.
Other countries have expressed concern over Iran's nuclear plans since Tehran decided to resume nuclear research after a break of more than two years.
