MOSCOW, January 20 (RIA Novosti) - Two people were killed and 15 were injured Friday in a blast in a furniture store in the town of Gus Khrustalny in European Russian, the Emergency Situations Ministry said.
The explosion caused a fire to spread in the residential block in which the store is located.
Some 150 residents had been evacuated, a spokesman for the ministry said.
The spokesman added that twelve firefighting teams were involved in extinguishing the blaze, but said the extremely low temperatures were hampering their work.
