MOSCOW, January 20 (RIA Novosti) - Russian fishermen caught 273,000 metric tons of salmon off the country's Pacific Cast in 2005, a record for the country, the Agriculture Ministry said Friday.
According to the ministry, Russia increased its overall catch of sea fish and seafood to almost 3.2 million mt in 2005 - a 7.7% increase on the previous year's 2.9 million mt.
