PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, January 21 (RIA Novosti) - The Kamchatka Peninsula in the Russian Far East has no air communication with the continent due to a heavy cyclone raging in the region, a local air company said Saturday.
The company said no air traffic was registered to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Saturday.
Meteorologists said they expected weather conditions to improve Saturday afternoon and Sunday.
However, a new snow cyclone may hit the peninsula January 23.
