GROZNY, January 22 (RIA Novosti) - Two arms caches were found early Sunday in the Republic of Chechnya in Russia's North Caucasus, a source in the local law-enforcement authorities said.
Police found the first cache in a forest near the village of Borozdinovskaya in the Shelkovskoy district of Chechnya. The cache contained three Kalashnikov assault rifles, a rifle, a VOG-17 grenade round and 730 cartridges of various calibres.
The other cache was discovered in the village of Yandi in the Achkhoi-Martan district of Chechnya. Operatives seized a Kalashnikov machine-gun and 120 7.62mm cartridges.
