MOSCOW, January 29 (RIA Novosti) - Russian energy giant Gazprom said Sunday it would resume regular supplies of natural gas to Georgia by the end of the day.
The company said it made test transfers of natural gas at the pipeline connecting Russia and Georgia through North Ossetia during Sunday, but at present the supply had been interrupted in order to conduct technological operations that were necessary to restore it in full.
A Gazprom spokesman said repair works at the Mozdok-Tbilisi gas pipeline that had been damaged by explosions last week were close to conclusion.
