MOSCOW REGION, February 2 (RIA Novosti) - Russian banks' total net profit in 2005 grew by 47.3% to 262.1 billion rubles ($9.3 billion), the first deputy chairman of the Central Bank said Thursday.
Andrei Kozlov said in 2004 the increase had been 38.6%.
Russian banks' own capital in 2005 grew by 31.2% to 1,242 billion rubles ($44.2 billion), Kozlov said, adding that the increase in 2004 had been 16.2%.
