MOSCOW, February 10 (RIA Novosti) - Foreign investment in Moscow in 2005 totaled $17 billion, up 17% year-on-year, a senior city administration official said Friday.
"Moscow is the country's leader in attracting foreign investment," Deputy Mayor Yuri Roslyak told journalists, highlighting the capital's energy sector as an example of long-time involvement with foreign capital, primarily from the United States and Turkey.
According to official data, foreign investment in Moscow stood at $14.5 billion in 2004.
