MOSCOW, February 13 (RIA Novosti) - The finance ministers of the Group of Eight industrialized nations supported a Russian proposal during a Moscow meeting on Saturday to expand the World Bank's mandate and set up additional funds for the development of the energy infrastructure in poor countries, Russia's finance minister said Monday.
"This infrastructure could serve as a basis for economic development and the solution of health-care and education problems," Alexei Kudrin told at a Cabinet meeting.
