MOSCOW, February 16 (RIA Novosti) - The state will remain a stockholder in major truck maker Kamaz, but may reduce its 34% stake in the company, a deputy economic development and trade minister said Thursday.
Kirill Androsov said the state's stake could be reduced as a result of the company's initial public offering.
"An IPO would be the most effective form of a Kamaz sale," he said.
Androsov said the state would benefit from the growth of Kamaz capitalization, which would compensate for the reduction of its stake in the share capital.
