TBILISI, February 21 (RIA Novosti) - Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili's visit to Ukraine, scheduled for February 25, has been delayed until April, the presidential administration said Tuesday.
The source did not specify reasons for the delay.
Saakashvili was to attend the closing ceremony of Days of Georgian Culture in Ukraine.
It was announced earlier that the visit of Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli to Russia, initially fixed for February 26, had been indefinitely postponed; the Russian ambassador explained that this was due to growing diplomatic tensions between Russia and Georgia.
Also on Tuesday, the consulate department of the Russian Embassy in Georgia said it would stop issuing visas as of February 21, 2006 barring cases involving humanitarian factors.
