TBILISI, February 21 (RIA Novosti) - The Georgian Foreign Ministry said a Russian Mi-8 HIP helicopter and a Su-25 Frogfoot had allegedly violated Georgia's airspace Tuesday.
"The Georgian Foreign Ministry evaluates this incident as a rude infringement of the country's sovereignty, a violation of airspace and accomplishment of provocative flights by Russian soldiers over the territory of Georgia," the ministry's statement said.
"The Georgian Foreign Ministry expresses its protest in connection with Russian actions and demands to immediately stop them," the statement said.
A relevant statement had been sent to the Russian Embassy in Georgia.
