MOSCOW, February 22 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's investment abroad during 2005 declined 7.8% year-on-year to $31.1 billion, the Russian Federal Statistics Service said Wednesday.
The volume of previous investments to Russia redeemed during the year was $31.3 billion, down 1.6% on 2004.
The total value of Russia's investments abroad as of the end of the year was $7.3 billion (taking into account repayments during the year).
Last year, Russia invested $13.3 billion in the United States, $1 billion in Cyprus, $4.3 billion in Austria, and $490 million in the United Kingdom.
