MOSCOW, February 23 (RIA Novosti) - A small fire that recently occurred under the debris in Moscow's Basmanny market whose roof collapsed early in the morning killing 44 people has been extinguished, the Moscow firefighting service said Thursday.
An Emergency Situations Ministry spokesman said earlier that the lives of people remaining under the debris was not in danger after the fire which was probably caused by a spark from rescuers' tools.
