BUDAPEST, February 28 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin, currently on an official visit to Hungary, said Tuesday Russia would continue to supply Hungary with energy resources and was ready to implement joint projects in the oil and gas sector.
"We have once again confirmed our intention to supply the Republic of Hungary with energy resources based on the current long-term contracts," Putin said.
The president also said that a big logistics center to supply Europe with goods from Asia could be set up in Hungary.
"We can transport a considerable amount of goods from Asia to Europe via the Trans-Siberian route and build a large logistics center in Hungary for all of Europe," he said.
Putin added that the two countries might hold intergovernmental consultations similar to those that Russia holds with Germany, France and Italy.
