MOSCOW, March 1 (RIA Novosti) - Russia and Iran will continue talks on Thursday on forming of a joint uranium enrichment venture, Iran's top negotiator at the Moscow talks said Wednesday. The secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, said: "We have very good points of contact, so cooperation and consultations will continue."

"We have discussed the formation of the joint venture, and hope that it will be set up," he added.

He said uranium enrichment for peaceful purposes was a right of any sovereign state.

Larijani also warned the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN's nuclear watchdog, against threatening the Islamic Republic.

"The IAEA should focus on reasonable ways of resolving this situation," he said. "If they reach a just assessment, Iran is ready for cooperation."

"I warn them against using the language of threats, which have no effect on Iran," Larijani said in advance of the session of the IAEA Board of Governors scheduled for March 6.

He also said dialog on he Iranian nuclear issue must be fair. "We have never committed any violations [of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty]."

He said Iran had assumed the obligation of observing the treaty, but should enjoy the corresponding rights.
