PYATIGORSK, March 2 (RIA Novosti) - A 20-year-old resident of Kislovodsk in southern Russia has been fined about $180 for sending an e-mail that included a bomb threat, a local court official said Thursday.
An investigation established that the suspect had sent an e-mail message containing a bomb threat to a local phone exchange in December 2005.
"The e-mail contained numerous grammatical mistakes and foul language," the court official said.
He said the suspect had sent the prank message to get even with phone exchange employees who had mistreated him.
In this case, the prank proved costly.
