KEMEROVO, March 4 (RIA Novosti) - One man was killed and three injured in a blast at a Siberian mine Saturday, the administration of the Kemerovo Region said.
The injured miners were hospitalized and work was stopped at the Krasnokamenskaya mine in the Kemerovo Region, Russia's major coal mining center, the administration said.
A special commission has been set up to investigate causes of the blast.
Governor of the Kemerovo Region Aman Tuleyev said a compensation of some 1 million rubles ($36,000) would be paid to the family of the miner killed in the blast.
