MOSCOW, March 6 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's president said Monday that Winter Olympics medallists and their trainers would be rewarded for their efforts.
Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with the athletes that male medallists would get Toyota Land Cruisers and women Toyota Lexuses. Trainers will receive prize money worth about $25,000, he added.
Putin said the awards were an additional prize on top of previously agreed prize money, and were the result of an initiative of the country's business community.
