ROSTOV-ON-DON, March 12 (RIA Novosti, Anatoly Novichkov) - The Republic of Adygea in southern Russia is holding elections to the local legislature, the press office of the republican electoral commission said Sunday.
The elections require 25% of the voters to come to the polling stations to validate the polls, the press office said.
Adygea residents are electing deputies to the local legislature in single-seat constituencies and from party lists.
The parties include the Communist Party, the Russian United Industrial Party, the Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR), the Agrarian Party, the pro-Kremlin United Russia party, the Russian Party of Life, the Russian Pensioners' Party and the Party of Social Justice.
