KIEV, March 13 (RIA Novosti, Pavel Dulman) - Ukraine's GDP is expected to grow by 6% in 2006, the country's prime minister said Monday.
"GDP [growth will be] about 6%, inflation [about] 10% and the hryvna [exchange] rate will remain unchanged," Yuriy Yekhanurov said.
He said the Ukrainian government would publish its final economic forecast for 2006 in the near future.
In January, the government forecast 2006 GDP growth at 7% and inflation at 8.7%. The 2006 budget was drafted using this forecast.
Ukraine's GDP grew by 2.4% in 2005 and 12.1% in 2004.
