MINSK, March 18 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian ambassador to Belarus Saturday cautioned Russian nationals against participation in election campaign activities in Minsk.
"I would not advise Russian citizens to participate in them. It is impermissible to break the laws of another country, especially a friendly country," Alexander Surikov said.
"Since they are on Belarusian territory, they are supposed to act with the utmost propriety, while any breach of electoral laws is unacceptable," the ambassador said.
Presidential elections in Belarus are due on Sunday.
