GENEVA, March 31 (RIA Novosti, Yekaterina Andrianova) - Tehran has not given up considering Russia's uranium enrichment proposal, Iran's foreign minister said Friday.
Manouchehr Mottaki said a number of amendments should be made to the proposal to continue the talks, including on the site of uranium enrichment, and on the terms and the parties in the process.
He also said Russia could join a regional uranium enrichment consortium, which the Islamic Republic has proposed.
Russia's initiative to produce enriched uranium for Iran's civilian nuclear reactors is seen as a compromise in the ongoing international dispute over the Islamic Republic's controversial nuclear program.
