KIEV, April 4 (RIA Novosti, Olga Bernatskaya) - Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili's visit to Kiev has been delayed due to political uncertainty in Ukraine, Georgia's foreign minister said Tuesday.
Gela Bezhuashvili, currently representing Georgia at the closing ceremony of the Year of Georgia in Ukraine, said Saakashvili and Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko had agreed during a telephone conversation to put off the visit until the situation in Ukraine had stabilized.
Saakashvili's visit to Ukraine has been postponed for the second time this year. On February 25 he was due to attend the closing ceremony of Days of Georgian Culture in Ukraine, but the visit was postponed although no reasons were given.
