MOSCOW, April 7 (RIA Novosti) - LUKoil-Perm, an operator of Russian LUKoil Overseas projects, said Friday it had discovered a new oil field in the Urals.

The Sharonovskoye oil field in the Perm Region is expected to come on stream in 2009 and is to hit maximal production of 20,000 metric tons a year (401.6 bbl/d) by 2012.

LUKoil-Perm, a 100% subsidiary of Russia's no.1 crude producer LUKoil (RTS: LKOH), said the deposit had active C1 reserves estimated at 731,000 metric tons (5,350 bbl) and C2 reserves of 71,000 tons (5,200 bbl).

The oil was found in an exploration drill hole 1.8 kilometers (1.1 miles) deep.
