MOSCOW, April 10 (RIA Novosti) - A subsidiary of electricity monopoly Unified Energy System (UES) Monday dismissed rumors that the company was negotiating the sale of an electric power station in Moldova.
Inter RAO UES spokesman Boris Zverev said the company had not received any proposals to sell the plant, and had not discussed the issue.
Some Russia media sources earlier cited sources in the Moldovan energy industry that Russian natural gas giant Gazprom intended to purchase the Moldovan electric power plant from Inter RAO UES for $150 million.
Inter RAO UES handles Russia's electricity exports and imports, and holds RAO UES' overseas energy assets.
